MODULE I — BREAK

Face the Fire

When Everything Falls Apart, This Is Where You Start.

BREAK is the stabilization phase of The BURN Method. It is not about thriving. It is about not drowning.

Before insight. Before rebuilding. Before forward motion. You stabilize the nervous system, separate facts from story, and stop the internal bleeding. Nothing built on unstable ground holds.

SECTION 1 — WHAT BREAK IS

This Is Triage, Not Transformation.

BREAK corresponds to the immediate moments of impact: the discovery of betrayal, the sudden death of a version of yourself, the collapse of a long-standing structure.

  • Constant nervous system arousal
  • Obsessive loop-thinking
  • Inability to focus
  • Identity whiplash

The goal here is stability. We do not rush to rebuild; we stop the internal bleeding. Nothing built on unstable ground holds.

Separate the Event From the Story

I lost my job vs. I am a failure.
He left vs. I am unlovable.

  • Regulate the nervous system
  • Establish containment
  • Map the wreckage
  • Inventory survival needs

THIS is what happened. Nothing more.

Immediate Regulation: The N.A.D. Protocol™

When betrayal or trauma hits, the nervous system spikes into fight-or-flight. You cannot think clearly in this state. You need a circuit breaker. Kick it in the N.A.D.s™.

N — NOTICE
A — ANCHOR
D — DELAY
  • Stop all movement.
  • Label the sensation (e.g., 'My chest is tight').
  • Separate what is happening from the story.
  • Engage the body: push feet into the floor.
  • Box breathing: 4 counts in, 4 hold, 4 out, 4 hold.
  • Find one fixed object.
  • Remove yourself from the physical room.
  • Put the phone in another room.
  • Neutralize the immediate input.

Did Something Happen — Or Did You Lose Who You Are?

We differentiate between Shock (the event) and Identity Collapse (the destruction of the internal self). BREAK helps you locate exactly where you are so you don't treat a broken bone with a band-aid.

Interrupt the Loops

Trauma creates mental loops ('How could they?', 'I should have known'). These loops bleed your energy. We use pattern interruption steps:

  • Identify the frequent trigger phrase.
  • Replace it with a Fact Statement ('This is what happened').
  • Engagement in high-focus sensory tasks.

Protect Your Energy While You Stabilize

Environmental Containment: Your external space must be a sanctuary. Minimal input, controlled lighting, and absolute order.

Social Containment: Go ghost. Information diets are mandatory. Stop the intake of toxic opinions and constant updates from the source.

Brutal Clarity

What Is Gone
What Remains
What Is Uncertain
  • Previous relationship structures.
  • The safety timeline.
  • Old perceptions of security.
  • Your hard skills.
  • Physical health and autonomy.
  • The core facts of the event.
  • Living arrangements.
  • Long-term career trajectory.
  • New social configurations.

Minimum Maintenance

You are a biological machine under extreme stress. Do not demand high performance from a vehicle that is low on fuel.

  • Sleep: 7+ hours daily.
  • Hydration: 3L of water.
  • Protein: 100g+ daily.
  • Sunlight: 15 minutes morning light.

Who BREAK Is For

  • Individuals in the first 0-90 days of life collapse.
  • Anyone feeling 'drowning' or unable to decide.
  • Systems stuck in perpetual high-alert.
  • Loss of self-worth and identity.

Stabilization is the first act of defiance.

BURN

BREAK Is Not the End.

It is the foundation. When you are stable enough to look deeper — When the nervous system has slowed, you are ready for the core work of recovery.
